Word Salad, Verbal Diarrhea, WTF

The occult is never going to be taken seriously as long as people write nonsensical, pretentious crap like this:

"He has constructed a Qliphoth of Baphomet which collects, corrects and updates commonly circulating data to streamline its function as a graphical transmitter of energy from a larger system of witchcraft which will be treated more extensively in a future publication."

Seriously... SERIOUSLY!?

Construction of Enochian Tools

So, I finally finished my updated altar for enochian magic. Originally, my Holy Table was done on poster board with black ink. The Ensigns of Creation and Sigillum Dei Ameth were on white card stock paper. While I am by no means a grimoiric purist, I thought it was high time I make things that looked a little nicer. Here was the early stage:

As you can see, the Holy table was done on white wood and painted with acrylics. We used gold card stock paper from Michaels and permanent marker to make the Ring of Solomon and the Holy Lamen. The white wooden disk was the surface on which the Sigillum Dei Ameth (SDA) was placed.

As you can see, we slowly added in more details and lines. Also - you'll see the beginnings of the SDA. I did it on regular old paper, first in pencily, and covered with ink. I then glued it onto the wooden disk that I had painted white. On the bottom of the disk, I hand painted the AGLA sigil using black acrylic. It should be pretty obvious - beer was also an important part of the creative process!

Finally - the ensigns of creation were done on silver card stock paper in black ink. We chose silver card stock because traditionally they are supposed to be engraved in Tin, and that was a close color for the paper. The final step was spraying the SDA and Holy Table with a matte finish. All that was left was to take it into my study upstairs, where it now sits as a part of my altar.

Please ignore the guitar crap in the background. And of course, here is a front view.

The table was placed over my altar table, and white tablecloth was used. I should note, I have the GD-style enochian tablets at each quarter. Additionally - I have the Tablet of Union done on parchment sitting beneath the Holy Table in the center of the altar. As you can guess, I do a hybrid of Golden Dawn and Heptarchic work. You might notice that the elemental weapons are not the traditional GD tools. I decided to go a bit more simplistic, using a small athame for air, a brass chalice for water, a rock that I found, washed and consecrated for earth, and a red candle for fire. Honestly - I haven't noticed a difference and aesthetically, I think they are a bit more sleek. A fellow occultist said on a forum that a lot of the Golden Dawn tools and regalia look like they come straight out of Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat. I'm not gong to lie, I agree 100%, even if I do enjoy much of the GD system.

I did an experiment with the new setup, and while I promised EHNB I wouldn't share the experience, lets just say that it was lots of fun.

Simple Exercises for Enhancing "Astral" Sight

I find that being able to "see" spirits, entities, energies, and etc goes a long way in assisting in magical work. The problem is, most of us aren't naturally able to see these things, and even if we were able, we'd have a hard time determining whether it's something real or just delusion (hint, 90% of the time, it's the latter).

A friend of mine also asked what sort of techniques can be used to learn to scry - and if it's good to learn scrying sooner than later. I said it was.

So with that, I think it's good to work on "astral" sight early on. Obviously if you are consistently doing the visualizations in preliminary exercises such as the LBRP, BRH and MPR, you are already starting to develop it. Here are some more suggestions.

Building the Astral Equivalent of the Room

This is pretty useful, and is especially important when you start doing evocation. You are more likely to see spirits in your minds eye, or "on the astral" than you are in full physical manifestation standing before you. Now, I'm not saying physical manifestation is impossible - but you have to figure that part out for yourself. This technique helps you perceive what energies and entities are astrally in the room with you. Any time I do an evocation, I always check the astral equivalent of the room.

To start, it's pretty simple. Find a room relatively free of clutter and sit in the center on a straight-backed chair. Face a direction of some significance to you. Golden Dawn people may face east, towards the direction of sunrise. Though sometimes, in the Golden Dawn system, you sit in the east facing west, to identify yourself with the rising sun). That's just one example though. Make sure you are comfortable, and then do some sort of relaxation and mental quieting exercise. I prefer to do either the Golden Dawn "Fourfold Breath" or Jason Miller's "Vase Breath" for a few minutes. Just make sure you have lulled yourself into a state where your heart rate is slower, your breathing is slow and steady, and your mind isn't racing at a mile a minute. By focusing on the breath, I find it also quiets all the background crap/chatter in my mind. I don't force it, of course. Any time my mind wanders, I just gently re-direct attention to my breath. You'll notice that's going to be repeated a lot here. DON'T FORCE THESE THINGS.

Once you are relaxed, close your eyes and begin to build an image in your mind of the room where you are sitting. Don't force it, just gently allow it to appear to you. It will become more detailed as you keep going. After a few days to a few weeks, depending on your latent ability, you should be able to get a pretty exact image of the room stored in your mind. At that point, you should start to notice a few things. You'll see subtle energies around the imagined version of the room. I tend to get the image in my mind of pulsating wisps of light and color, though people of a darker persuasion may see pulsating shadows (e.g. as described in Konstantinos's Nocturnicon and E.A. Koetting's Works of Darkness). Some may disagree with me, but I think they are the same damn thing. Once you begin to get this, you have built the astral equivalent of the room. Remember to briefly jot down all of your experiences in a notebook.

This is where the real fun begins - you may start to notice that there are outlines or shades of PEOPLE in the astral equivalent of the room. You may start to notice astral garbage - e.g. weird shapes, snakes coming out of the floor, balls of light that float around called 'sprites,' etc. Don't become alarmed - this stuff can't really harm you. Don't get too attached to any of these images either, just write down what you perceive in your mind, and let it be. Eventually, you will be able to do this with your eyes open, superposing what you see astrally in your imagination over what you see with your naked eye. Don't push it though - that will come with time. You also don't need to be able to do it with your eyes open for the next exercise - so don't worry if you can't. It will come when it comes.

Applying the Astral Equivalent of the Room To Simple Ritual

At this point - it might be a good idea to perform an invocation ritual, and apply these techniques. To start out, the LIRP (the INVOKING form, not the LBRP everyone and their mother suggests on the internet) is a good and straightforward suggestion. If you don't know the difference, it's pretty easy to look up in the first knowledge lecture (Neophyte grade) of Regardie's Golden Dawn. Then do the Middle Pillar exercise if that's useful to you, as this tends to get you in a good gnostic state if done properly.

Now, build the astral equivalent of the room as before, but also include the things you created in the LIRP. This would basically be the white circle, the electric blue pentagrams, and the archangels of the four quarters. Please note - I said "created." KNOW they are there, whether or not you can see them yet. As before, do this visualization gently, and let it come naturally - you might not be able to do it your first try. Thats okay! As with the previous exercise - you are doing this in your imagination, and keeping your eyes closed is fine.

Once you have this built up, try to see what else is in the room. Since you are invoking, you are bringing spiritual energy in - not attempting to keep things out. So what do you see? Are the archangels static pictures, or do you imagine them moving? Do you perceive any energies or colors radiating from the pentagrams and archangels? Is anyone else in the room with you? Are the entities that show up making any gestures? Do you get the impression that if you could "hear them," they'd be saying a sentence? If so, try to imagine what their voice would sound like. As before, write everything down. After each attempt. Since you opened with the invoking form of the LRP, you might want to close with the banishing form, especially if you start to see that things are "showing up."

Once you have noticed results with this technique, try using the ritual of the pentagram to invoke other elements (Air, Water, Fire). What changes in what you "see" in your astral equivalent of the room?

At this point, it's worth repeating the point that you should not become obsessed with any visions. Just write them down, interpret them if need be, and move on. You need a bit of a sense of non-attachment here.

This technique has greatly helped me with evocation. For example, when I evoked Lilith (see the blog from a few days ago), I had my eyes open, staring into the incense, and also build up the astral image of the room in my mind. Lilith appeared in the astral image of the room, but I could also see her outline in the smoke. Now, did that actually appear? It's hard to tell - a camera might have just caught me staring into the smoke like some stoned idiot - but when doing the ritual, when you've successfully merged the astral sight with the physical, to the evocator, it's real enough. That's what matters!

Eyelid Scrying

If you've been doing all of the things I suggest up until now, congratulations, you are already scrying!! Specifically, you have been doing a closed-eye form called "eyelid scrying." Read anything by Benjamin Rowe, and that's usually the technique he recommends. One of the most fun things when you learn to scry is not just seeing the stuff in your room, but adventuring to other planes of existence. I'd recommend the tattwas of the four elements. It's pretty easy to do. Grab Regardie's Golden Dawn for reference and make one of the tattwas in the correct colors out of construction paper. Then, do the LRP (invoking form) + MPR in your chamber, and stare at the tattwa card. Eventually, usually after about 30 seconds to a minute, you will notice a "glow" around the edges of the shapes. At that point, put down the card and stare at plain white paper. You will see the tattwa, but in it's complementary colors (this is a trick of the eye). Close your eyes, and imagine this inverted-color version of the tattwa. Then vibrate the divine names of the element (these are the same names on the Golden Dawn elemental tools). If you feel you are not in a relaxed enough state, you may wish to vibrate the divine names 4 times each.

Now - imagine you are going through the tattwa as a door. If you could see on the other side, what would you see? Just bring the first thing you imagine into focus. This can take time - if you are having trouble, just KNOW something is there and don't worry about *seeing* it. What would it look like if you could see it? Would it be a landscape? An entity? As you start answering these questions, you slowly, but surely, WILL see something. At this point, your vision has begun. If you see an entity, be sure to test it. I gave some techniques in a previous blog on elemental invocations for scrying that provide a framework for testing entities. Have fun with it. Don't forget to write everything down, and close with the banishing form of the LRP. Try all four tattwas. Generally - when I scried the elemental planes, I'd get a landscape first, then a figure which I tested and identified as an elemental or daemon (not to be confused with Demon - those are a lot nastier!). Then, it would guide me through various parts of said landscape, where I'd meet other entities that I could test - these often included the angels, elemental kings, and archangels. Just remember - like when you were scrying the astral version of your ritual chamber, don't force it. Let things build gently and naturally. And remember to write everything down.

Mirror Scrying

Eventually, you'll probably want to move beyond eyelid scrying into something that can be perceived to be more objective. In this case, it's very similar to the experience I just described with Lilith - you see that something should be in the mirror in your minds eye, and your real vision reciprocates. That doesn't mean that what you are seeing isn't real. Very often, when scrying or doing evocations, entities will tell you things you couldn't have possibly known. Or you will ask the entity to help you with something, and they will do it. Remember - the key is to repeat the experiment many times, just as a laboratory scientist would, and note the results. As Aleister Crowley said, "Let success be thy proof!"

So how to mirror scry? Generally, I think calling upon entities to teach you helps with this. So ignore the people who say simply stare into the mirror every day until you finally see something. That's just an exercise in frustration, in my opinion. Some useful scrying teachers for me have been the Enochian Luna Senior of Water, LAOAXRP, the governors of the Enochian aethyrs, and the master angel of the Enochian watchtowers, EHNB. Another entity that has helped me vastly in recent weeks is a Neptunian intelligence named Mepsitahl, first mentioned in Konstantinos's Summoning Spirits. Mepsitahl comes from the Sephirah Chokmah, and is ruled by the Archangel Raziel. Even black magicians love Mepsitahl, as is evidenced by E.A. Koetting's Works of Darkness, who recommends calling her to help you learn to scry in a mirror. When I worked with her, I used Koetting's methods, which simply involve staring at her sigil and repeating a short conjuration. Working with her was the first time I literally saw a face in the mirror. She wears aqua robes, and has a headband with a bright aqua jewel over her third eye.

Regardless of what entity you choose, simply call them by whatever means you choose to work with until you know they are there - only this time, don't imagine them with your eyes closed. Project your imagination of them onto the mirror. Even if you can't see them with your naked eye yet, know their presence has filled the mirror. Thank them for coming, and then tell them you have called them to learn how to better hear and see them in the mirror. Perform any visualizations they suggest. One way to know you are on the right track with mirror scrying, is the surface of the mirror will start to cloud over as your eyes unfocus. This is the first step towards looking beyond the mirror, and not just in the mirror.

A last thing of note - some people recommend Poke Runyon's "facial distortion" technique. In this, you stare at your face in a black mirror until it gets distorted, with the idea that it will turn into whatever entity you are calling. I'm not a fan of this because I can't get over the distraction my own face provides. Call it lack of mental discipline if you want, but I always feel like I'm just going back to seeing my reflection - and honestly, I've seen visible manifestations in the mirror using the methods I outlined above.

The set up I use is to have the mirror angled so that nothing is reflected in it (it's pure black), and I have two black candles at either side and slightly behind the mirror so their light doesn't reflect. I like using black candles, because white candles are too bright and become a distraction. If you are working with Kabbalistic entities, it might be a good idea to have candles with the color of the Sephirah you are working with (e.g. Blue for the Archangel Tzadkiel of Jupiter).

Well - that about sums it up. Remember - scrying is fun, and is an adventure. You are seeing and visiting other worlds, and communicating with entities from those worlds. Show some respect, be a good tourist, and don't forget to enjoy yourself!

Useful Occult Books

So I thought I'd list some of the books I've found useful in my own occult work.

Kabbalah, Magic and the Great Work of Self Transformation by Lyam Thomas Christopher

After a few months of doing the LBRP + MPR daily and haphazardly firing off Chaos Magic sigils while pretending to follow a different magical paradigm each week, I realized I needed some sort of rigorous course of training if I were ever to move beyond "dabbler" and into the realm of the adept. Although I had found some aspects of Kraig's Modern Magick appealing, I dove into this one instead, largely due to how exhaustive it is. If you follow the ~3.5 year program in this course, you will:
  • Invoke the forces corresponding to the Sephiroth of the Golden Dawn Grades from Neophyte through Adeptus Minor - both the elements AND the planets.
  • Build the Tree of Life in each of the four worlds into your sphere. This allows for VERY easy invocation of a given sephiroth once you have 'graduated' and are off on your own.
  • Construct each Enochian tablet, and learn the Golden Dawn enochian system inside out from a theoretical standpoint.
  • Perform a wide array of projects and exercises, which will teach you how to master each of these sphere's in your day to day life.
It uses Israel Regardie's The Golden Dawn as a companion piece, and includes several excellent "required reading" books for each grade. These books are on a broad range of topics, including the Kabbalah, Egyptian Mythology and Magic, Astrology, Tarot, Practical and Psychological Alchemy, the Chakras, Jungian Psychology, Zen Buddhism, Dee/Kelley Purist Enochiana, and the general Western Mystery Tradition. I would actually say that every book he recommends are also worth reading.

One warning - it's a lengthy curriculum, and you should be prepared to finish it once started. If you are unsure that you want to undertake such a long operation, I'd suggest working with Don Kraig's Modern Magick instead. In that, you'll dive into practical operations such as talisman creation and etc pretty quickly. I very often use Kraig's method to create talismans, though, for reason's I'll explain below, I don't use his "long form" talisman consecration.

Of course, once I finished the course outlined book - I realized that there was an entire universe of practical magic at my finger tips. I also had a better understanding of how I would use it. I was quite disheartened, though, after reading Zalewski's "Talismans and Evocations" of the Golden Dawn. I noticed just how pompous and convoluted a lot of the Golden Dawn methods are. I still enjoy the Watchtower ritual, as well as Lyam's Fourfold Body of Light and Planetary invocations, but I'll be damned if I'm going to repeat the friggin' Neophyte ritual every time I want to evoke a spirit or consecrate a talisman. It turns out, traditional neoplatonic/hermetic magic is actually far more simple, and I haven't seen any degradation in potency. Here are some books I've found especially useful.

The Sorcerer's Secrets by Jason Miller

I really enjoy Jason Miller's approach, as it is a bit more down to earth than a lot of the Golden Dawn methods - and it focuses on strategies to help put your mundane house in order so that magical techniques are more likely to succeed. The magical techniques are essentially a combination of greek folk magic, meditation techniques, renaissance magic a la Agrippa, and hoodoo-influenced techniques. Miller is definitely a "spirit model" type of guy. While the Golden Dawn uses psychodrama to bypass the rational mind, Miller encourages creating a subjective reality where spirits are all around you and ready to come when they are called.

Neoplatonic Basics, Modern Angelic Grimoire, and The Genius and Evil Daimon by Rufus Opus

(IMAGE NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

These books, a long with the above book by Jason Miller, will quite literally change how you view magic if you are coming from a strictly Golden Dawn or Thelemic background. They take a neo-platonic approach to high magic, with influences coming from The Divine Pymander (Hermetic creation myth), Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy, and The Art of Drawing Spirits Into Crystal, which was attributed to Trithemius but appeared in Francis Barrett's The Magus. It provides a fairly simple method whereby one can evoke archangels, spirits, and demons, as well as divine the name of, and contact, the Genius (a slightly lower manifestation of the HGA). Just be ready for a perpetual art project, as you'll constantly be building tables of practice, talismans, lamens, spirit pots, and all sorts of other trinkets.

Post-Modern Magic and The Magic, Power, Language, Symbol by Patrick Dunn

Patrick Dunn's work goes a long way in unifying the more psychological model of chaos magic with the spirit/energy model of ceremonial magic, by introducing us to the "information theory of magic." It also provides examples of how one can take the basic principles of any system of magic, and adapt them to suit your needs.

Enochian Vision Magick by Lon Milo DuQuette

Although powerful, Enochian magic can be somewhat of a nuisance to work with from an intellectual standpoint. While John Dee wrote some invocations for various archangels of the tablets, there was never a satisfactory workable system developed for the non-renaissance magician, in my opinion. On the flip side, the Golden Dawn turned Enochian magic into a very practical system, but with two major flaws: (1) the pyramid square system is a complete clusterfuck that tries to jam as many correspondences to each letter as possible, and (2) they left out 1/3 of the enochian system, the Heptarchia Mystica. This crucial third included the planetary spirits that governed the elemental Great Table of the Watchtowers (what the GD called the elemental tablets). Fortunately, DuQuette has come to the rescue and seamlessly blends the tools of the Heptarchia Mystica into the Golden Dawn elemental and planetary correspondences of the Watchtower entities. I've used his methods for years, and had astounding results with enochian magic. Like with RO's system - be prepared for a perpetual art project - you'll be making a ring of solomon, the holy table, ensigns of creation talismans, the sigillum dei ameth, the holy lamen, and (optionally) the round table of Nalvage.

Qabala, Qliphoth, and Goetic Magic and Uthark: The Nightside of the Runes by Thomas Karlsson

(IMAGE NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

I used to think the "Left Hand Path" (LHP) was the realm of black metal fans who wanted to play at being occultists in order to look "dangerous" and angsty teenagers who wanted to curse their math teacher. That changed when I discovered Thomas Karlsson's work. Now, I see it as a valid initiatory path whereby one finds light in the darkness and becomes God of their own reality. Karlsson gives one of the best explanations of the Qliphoth I've seen in writing, as well as advice on how to approach them. He also provides useful information in Uthark on how to path-work with runes between worlds on Yggdrasil in a manner comparable to using the Tarot on the Qabalistic Tree of Life. Both books are highly recommended.

Finally - it's great to have a collection of grimoires on hand, as well as classical texts like Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy and John Dee's Five Books of Mystery. These provide great references for seals, sigils, spirits and other tools that can be used for talismans and evocations. Just avoid nut jobs like Joseph Lisiewski who think you have to follow grimoires word for word. We don't need more SPCAs and Police Departments across the country freaking out over occultists killing chickens and cats. One satanic panic was enough. Lets not trigger another.

Abbreviated Elemental Invocations

So earlier - I posted some lengthy (albeit powerful) elemental invocations that I used for scrying the elemental planes.

Then yesterday, I mentioned I did extremely short elemental invocations to "activate" the enochian tablets. I thought I'd reproduce those here. They are simply truncated versions of the "Opening by the Watchtower," with added prayers from Lyam Thomas Christopher's Kabbalah, Magic and the Great Work of Self Transformation book.

If I'm working with the Tablet of Union or the Aethyrs - I usually just do the Opening by the Watchtower.

For invoking a given planet - I just use the Unicursal Hexagram Invoking Rituals from Lyam Christopher's book. They are short, simple, and quite potent. To me, the traditional GD ritual of the hexagram with the four different astrological hexagrams is incredibly cumbersome, unnecessarily lengthy, and well... just sucks.

Also - thanks to Aleister Crowley's Liber Chanokh for the idea of doing "temple openings" in a given degree for enochian preparatory ceremonies.

Activation of the Tablet of the North/Earth Invocation/Zelator Opening
(Short Form for Enochian Work)

Temple Setup:
- Altar: Table of Practice, Dagger, Wand, Sigillum Dei Ameth, Black Mirror, Tablet of Union Below Altar
- All four elemental tablets. Respective tools in front of tablets (or on altar in their respective cardinal directions).
- On the magician: the Ring of Solomon and the Holy Lamen.

1. Do the LBRP and LBRH

2. Circumambulate to the north. Pick up the earth pentacle. Wave it 3 times in front of the earth tablet.

3. Circumambulate once with pentacle over head, saying: “Stoop not down into that darkly splendid world, wherein continually lieth a faithless depth and Hades, wrapped in gloom, delighting in unintelligible imagery; precipitous, winding – a black and ever rolling abyss! Ever espousing a body unluminous, formless and void.”

4. Stop at North. Draw the passive spirit pentagram vibrating NANTA. Draw the spirit sigil, vibrating AGLA. Give the LVX signs.

5. Draw the invoking earth pentagram, vibrating MOR DIAL HCTGA. Draw the Taurus sigil, vibrating ADNI. Give the Zelator sign and say: “ADNI HA ARETZ. ADNI MELEKH. Unto thee be the kingdom and the power and the glory, the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valley.”

6. Point to the center of the earth tablet. Proclaim: “In the name of the great king of the watchtower of the north, spirits of earth, adore your creator! ICZHIHL.”

7. Place down the pentacle and return west of the altar facing east. Proclaim: “I declare this temple in the 1=10 degree opened.”

8. Knock.

9. Proceed with further enochian work. Here I usually use DuQuette's "Ceremony of Preparation" from Enochian Vision Magick to activate the holy table and attune myself to the Sigillum Dei Ameth and Holy Table. In reality though, this isn't absolutely necessary if you are pressed for time. Often, if I only have an hour to do the operation, I'll just chant all the names from DuQuette ONCE instead of 7 times, or just go straight to the enochian calls and conjurations.

10. Perform the LBRP.

Activation of the Tablet of the East/Air Invocation/Theoricus Opening
(Short Form for Enochian Work)

Temple Setup:
- Altar: Table of Practice, Dagger, Wand, Sigillum Dei Ameth, Black Mirror, Tablet of Union Below Altar
- All four elemental tablets. Respective tools in front of tablets.

1. Do the LBRP and LBRH

2. Circumambulate to the east. Pick up the air dagger. Wave it 3 times in front of the air tablet.

3. Circumambulate once with air dagger over head, saying: “Such a fire existeth, extending through the rushing of air; or even a fire formless – whence cometh the image of a voice, or even a flashing light, abounding, revolving, whirling forth and crying aloud!”

4. Stop at North. Draw the active spirit pentagram vibrating EXARP. Draw the spirit sigil, vibrating AHIH. Give the LVX signs.

5. Draw the invoking air pentagram, vibrating ORO IBAH AOZPI. Draw the Aquarius sigil, vibrating YHVH. Give the Theoricus sign and say: “SHADDAI EL CHAI. All mighty and ever lasting, ever living be thy name, ever magnified in the life of all. Amen.”

6. Point to the center of the air tablet. Proclaim: “In the name of the great king of the watchtower of the east, spirits of air, adore your creator! BATAIVAH.”

7. Place down the pentacle and return west of the altar facing east. Proclaim: “I declare this temple in the 2=9 degree opened.”

8. Knock.

9. Proceed with further enochian work.

10. Perform the LBRP.

Activation of the Tablet of the West/Water Invocation/Practicus Opening
(Short Form for Enochian Work)

- All four elemental tablets. Respective tools in front of tablets.
- On the magician: the Ring of Solomon and the Holy Lamen.

1. Do the LBRP and LBRH

2. Circumambulate to the west. Pick up the water cup. Wave it 3 times in front of the water tablet.

3. Circumambulate once with water cup over head, saying: “So therefore first, the priest who governeth the works of fire must sprinkle with the lustral waters of the resounding sea.”

4. Stop at North. Draw the passive spirit pentagram vibrating HCOMA. Draw the spirit sigil, vibrating AGLA. Give the LVX signs.

5. Draw the invoking water pentagram, vibrating MPH ARSL GAIOL. Draw the Eagle sigil, vibrating EL. Give the Practicus sign and say: “Elohim Tzabaoth! Glory be to the Ruach Elohim, who moved upon the face of the waters of creation. Amen.”

7. Place down the water cup and return west of the altar facing east. Proclaim: “I declare this temple in the 3=8 degree opened.”

8. Knock.

9. Proceed with further enochian work.

10. Perform the LBRP.

Activation of the Tablet of the South/Fire Invocation/Philosophus Opening
(Short Form for Enochian Work)

Temple Setup:
- Altar: Table of Practice, Dagger, Wand, Sigillum Dei Ameth, Black Mirror, Tablet of Union Below Altar
